JMG is now preparing for remote studies during the autumn term

In order to fight the spread of the novel coronavirus, the Department of Journalism, Media and Communication (JMG), is now preparing for continued remote studies during the autumn semester of 2020.

– We will do everything we can to maintain our good quality of teaching, says Monica Löfgren Nilsson, Head of Department.

Portrait Head of Department Monica Löfgren NilssonThe University of Gothenburg will start the autumn term with the same general restrictions that are already at place. This was decided by the Vice-Chancellor on Monday 11 May.

– It was an expected message, but of course, we had hopes to meet all our students on Campus after summer. This is a difficult situation for all of us, but we as a University must take our responsibility to keep the spread of infection down, says Monica Löfgren Nilsson.

The teachers at JMG are now planning for remote education, bringing with them experiences from this spring to further improve digital teaching and provide the students with a good quality education and a creative study environment.
