Editorial accounts

In 2000/2001 the University and the newspaper industry started a joint project called Publicistiska bokslut (Editorial accounts). The purpose of the initiative was to use the journalistic annual accounts as a tool for change, evaluation and, not least, comparison between different newspapers and within individual newspapers over time. It would serve as a counterweight to the financial annual accounts and was funded by the participating newspapers. The work was based on studies of the content of the participating newspapers and their staff and audience.
